Ek Main Aur Ek Tu

Rahul…
A confused! He acts as per his parents wish because he himself doesn’t know what he wants out of his life. He leads a highly disciplined and systematic life. He presses even his socks! He is sacked from the architect job at Las Vegas.

Riana…
A rebel! She is a Hair-dresser hunting for a job at Las Vegas. She drinks. She shouts and does all the crazy things. She is disorganized and careless.

Rahul meets Riana…
Accidentally! They drink all the night. In the state of intoxication, they get married. Next day, they decide to annul the wedding.

Friendship blooms…
Riana shifts to Rahul’s house for a few days, until she leaves to India. Rahul falls in love with Riana. Her full-of life attitude starts bringing life into other-wise boring Rahul. On Riana’s insistence, Rahul joins her to India.

Then…
Rahul proposes to Riana. He tells his parents that he has lost his job, that he married Riana in the drunken state and that he hates when they become too nosy.

What follows…
Does Riana accept Rahul’s proposal? Do they live happily ever after? Does Rahul get another job?

The movie…
There are many light moments. Riana reminds Geeth (Jab We Met) a lot. Imran Khan fits into the character’s skin very rightly and he has doesn’t his part pretty good.

Other add-ons…
Kareena’s costumes are super-cool. Her vanity bags (even suit-cases) grab our attention. The colors are lively and a thumbs up to Manish Malhotra. The songs, especially are equally foot-tapping and catchy. My personal favorite is aahatein. The chemistry between the lead makes the movie more enchanting. And important of all is the climax. You would surely feel, “aisa hi khatham hona tha

I loved it…
It is a very progressive film. The girl is projected more like a hero, sans all the run around trees and all-beauty-no-brain types. The movie throws light into how today’s generation thinks. There are no typecasts, which makes this film a unique enjoyable experience. Besides, it is only 1 hour and 50 minutes long. So, you would never feel bored.

A generous 3.5 stars out of 5 for this rom-com!
Enjoy this Valentines day!
